A beginners look at botnet hunting and malware research

This paper will outline research tactics for hunting, monitoring and shutting down botnets. We will include information about sandboxes, honey pots, collection sensors, mail drops, sniffing and Botnet discovery. This paper will be short. It is intended to give only a brief over view of the botnet hunters world. Certain parts have been sanitized for security reasons.
